About The Send Program
Send Trips are student led opportunities where Merrimack students, faculty, and staff volunteer during their fall, winter or spring break to serve and immerse themselves in communities in other states or countries. Based on the five pillars of Community, Reflection, Humility, Simple Living and Social Justice Send gives Merrimack students the chance to embody key aspects of the Augustinian tradition. Merrimack College has been participating in weeklong services experiences for more than 50 years.
"Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send and who will go for us?' and I said
'Here I am; Send Me'" - Isaiah 6:8
"I wanted to be a part of the SEND Program because not only do I get to experience new places with new people, but I get to understand what life is like for others and to be able to give back to those in different communities. Service and giving back are one of my favorite things!"
Theresa Cabral '26
“I had the best time helping communities, as well as experiencing new cultures and ways of life. I learned so much about others, and myself, by reflecting on these experiences. I would do it a thousand times over again!”
Neva Sa '26
“I participate in Send to continue serving other communities and as a way to connect with my faith through acts of service. I love learning about different communities and interacting with others.”
Lydia Molettieri '25
“The SEND program gave me a new and exciting opportunity to serve communities outside of my own. Serving in Belize gave me a greater appreciation for other cultures and societies around the world.”
